RE: [DeTomaso] One seriously fast Pantera
That's 211 MPH for us stateside! That is one seriously fast pantera. I
wonder what kind of motor and transmission it had?
Thomas can you translate the interview with him afterwards?
Thanks.

Subject: [DeTomaso] One seriously fast Pantera
I have just uploaded part of an old TV-program where Björn Carapi challenges
the
Swedish speed record with his potent Pantera.
http://www.detomaso.nu/~thomast/Flygande_kilometern_Falkenberg.mpg
The file is about 124M.
The program is in Swedish and there's a motorcycle attempting to break
300kph
first.
Every other year a long straight is closed for public traffic for a while
and
people are allowed to run as fast as they can.
Speed is measured over one kilometer and the speed is measured in each
direction
and averaged.
The record was 315km at the time.
Björn had 341kph on the first run.
Unfortunately Björns clutch broke on the second run and he got "only" 313kph
cruising the last bit ;-)
I like the sound when he takes off.
AFAIK Björn no longer owns the car and I have no idea who does.
Enjoy!
Thomas
